The Union des Yézidis de France is an association under the French law of 1 July 1901. It is currently being set up, and its seat is in Angers.

The Union des Yézidis de France is a new association. It is separate from the association “Union des Yezidis en France”, registered in Paris in 2013, and from the Fédération de Yézidis de France.
Purpose
Summary of Article 2 of the statutes. The association’s purpose is:
- to represent the Yazidis of France collectively before public authorities, institutions and civil society;
- to preserve and pass on the memory and the cultural, historical, linguistic and spiritual identity of the Yazidi people;
- to publish, translate and distribute books and documents, and to sell items bearing the association’s name and emblem to help fund it;
- to help people with their paperwork and with settling in, free of charge, whether or not they are members;
- to help with access to housing, in particular through free temporary accommodation;
- to award grants, bursaries and prizes on objective and public criteria;
- to organise cultural, educational and commemorative events;
- to cooperate with French or foreign associations and institutions pursuing similar aims;
- to combat discrimination based on origin or religion and to support victims of persecution;
- to keep a community register of people who wish to be included, solely on the basis of their explicit and revocable consent.
Sales remain secondary: any surplus they generate goes entirely to the association’s purpose.
Support for families
The association will help families to understand a letter, prepare an application or book an appointment. This support will always be given with the person present, and they stay in charge of their own paperwork.
This help is free of charge. The association keeps no usernames or passwords, does not carry out paperwork on people’s behalf and does not represent them before public authorities. It gives no legal advice: it informs and points people in the right direction.
What we do not do

- We do not carry out your paperwork for you, and we do not represent you before public authorities or the courts.
- We keep no usernames or passwords.
- To help you, we do not ask about your religion or about which group of the community you belong to.
- We publish no one’s name without the written consent of the person or their family.
- We support no political party and hold no religious services.
- We ask for no money at this stage: no membership fee, no donation, no charges. If anyone asks you for money on behalf of the association, do not pay and let us know.
Representation
The association aims to be a recognised point of contact for local authorities, public administrations, schools and other associations on matters concerning Yazidis in France.
How it works
The association is run by a board elected by the general meeting. The board reports on its management every year; the accounts are presented to the members.
The statutes have been signed by the founding members, and the board was elected by the founding general meeting of 23 September 2026. The statutes will be published here, together with the membership of the board, once the association has received the official receipt for its declaration.
Principles
The association supports no political party and holds no religious services. Its publications and events are open to all.
No information about a person or a family is published without their written consent.
