An association to bring together Yazidi (also spelled Yezidi) families in France, keep their culture alive, preserve their history and support them in daily life.

Passing on what was entrusted to us.
Yazidi families in France came from Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Iraq and Syria. They carry an ancient history and a faith handed down from generation to generation. The association wants to give them a place here, in France.
Many families have arrived since the 1990s; others fled Iraq and Syria after 2014. At home many speak Kurmanji; outside, French and Russian. That is why this site is in four languages.

3 August 2014 We remember.
That day, ISIS attacked the Yazidis of the Mount Sinjar area in Iraq. A UN commission of inquiry and the European Parliament have described these crimes as genocide.

A tradition handed down by word of mouth, festivals that bring people together.
The Yazidi faith is handed down through sacred hymns, the qewl, through songs, the stran, and through prayers. In France, the festivals are an occasion for family and community gatherings.

Sersal Çarşema Sor
New Year, or Red Wednesday. Eggs are dyed, homes are decorated with flowers and meals are shared.

Cejna Cemayê
The Feast of the Assembly, the great annual pilgrimage to Lalish.
- December
Cejna Êzî
Preceded by three days of fasting, the Rojiyên Êzî.

The association will help you, free of charge, whether or not you are a member:
- to understand a letter;
- to prepare an application;
- to book an appointment.
Always done with you present: you stay in charge of your own paperwork. We keep no usernames or passwords and give no legal advice: we inform and point you in the right direction.

The association aims to be a recognised point of contact on matters concerning Yazidis in France.

Membership opens soon.
You can already look at the fees and the membership form. Everything will be switched on as soon as the association has received the official receipt for its declaration and opened its bank account.
No fees are collected before membership officially opens. If anyone asks you for money on behalf of the association, do not pay and let us know.
