The Union des Yézidis de France is now registered

The creation of the Union des Yézidis de France was published in the Official Journal on 6 October 2026. The association, based in Angers, is listed in France’s national register of associations under number W491022670.

The steps taken

The founding members signed the statutes. The founding general meeting of 23 September 2026 elected the board and set the membership fees for 2027. The declaration was filed with the prefecture on 25 September 2026.

The association’s creation was published in the Official Journal on 6 October 2026, and its number in the national register of associations (RNA) is W491022670. This number will now appear on its documents and on this website.

What the association does

The Union des Yézidis de France aims to represent the Yazidis of France before public authorities and civil society, to preserve and pass on their memory, culture and language, and to publish books. It will help people with their paperwork free of charge, members or not, and always with them present. It will organise cultural, educational and commemorative events, open to all.

What changes, and what does not change yet

A declared association only acquires legal personality and legal capacity once its creation has been published in the Official Journal of associations (JOAFE). That publication took place on 6 October 2026: the association now has legal personality and legal capacity.

Membership is not open yet. It will open once a bank account has been opened in the association’s name. The amounts set for 2027 are shown on the Join page. Until then, the association asks for no money at all: no fees, no donations, no charges. If anyone asks you for money in its name, do not pay and let us know.

The drop-in sessions planned in Angers will be announced on this website, with their days and times.

The first book published by the association, R’ê-r’izma miletê Êzdî by H’esenê Şêx K’eleşê, in a bilingual Êzdîkî (Kurmanji) / French edition, is not available yet. Details will be announced on this website.
