Membership and payment terms
These terms apply to joining the Union des Yézidis de France online. They supplement the statutes and the internal rules, which prevail in the event of any conflict. This is a translation. Only the French text is legally binding.

They will apply once membership opens. Until then, no fee is collected, whether online, in cash or by cheque. If anyone asks you for money on behalf of the association, do not pay and let us know.
1. The association
The Union des Yézidis de France (UYF) is an association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, whose declaration was filed with the prefecture on 25 September 2026; its RNA number will be given here once the official receipt has been received. 2. What you are paying for
Once your membership has been approved by the board, the annual membership fee makes you a full member: you have one vote at general meetings as long as your fee is up to date. The membership fee is not the purchase of goods or a service: it gives no entitlement to any material benefit.
3. Amounts
The amounts are set each year by the general meeting and shown on the Join page, in euros, with no additional charges. The reduced rate is granted on the basis of your own statement. A benefactor member has one vote, like every member: their fee gives no extra vote and no extra rights.
4. Duration
The membership fee covers the calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December. A fee paid on or after 1 October covers the following year: you are a member from the approval of your membership until 31 December of the following year.
5. Approval by the board
Every application is submitted to the board, which decides within a month and does not have to give reasons for turning one down. If there is no reply within two months, the membership is accepted. If an application is turned down, the membership fee is refunded in full.
6. Payment
Online payment is made by bank card, in a single payment, through Stripe, a licensed payment provider. The association never sees or stores your card details. What Stripe learns in the process is explained in the information about your personal data. You can also pay in cash or by cheque at a drop-in session, against a receipt.
7. Receipt
A membership fee receipt is available in your members’ area as soon as you have paid. It is not a tax receipt: the membership fee does not entitle you to any tax reduction.
8. Right of withdrawal
As an exception to the rule that the membership fee remains with the association (statutes, Article 7), the person who paid for a first membership online by card may withdraw from it within fourteen days of the payment, without giving a reason, from their members’ area or by writing to us. The fee is then refunded in full, to the card used, within fourteen days. Renewals and fees paid in cash or by cheque are not covered.
9. End of membership
You can resign at any time from your members’ area. After the withdrawal period, the membership fee remains with the association for the whole year. A member who does not renew their membership fee receives a reminder; if it is not paid within three months, the board may remove them from the membership. Expulsion for serious misconduct follows the procedure in article 8 of the statutes.
10. Donations
A donation is always separate from the membership fee: it appears on a separate line and gives no rights. The association does not issue tax receipts.
11. Personal data
Your data is processed as explained in the information about your personal data. We never ask about your origin, your religion or your immigration status.
12. Disagreements
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, please write to us first: we always look for an amicable solution.
